Mission Statement
The Forx Builders Association, chartered in 1966, is a non-profit professional trade association comprised of builders and associate members representing related building industries. Affiliated with the North Dakota Association of Builders, Builder’s Association of Minnesota and the National Association of Home Builders, our mission is to address the building requirements, interests and education of our membership in order to provide quality construction to consumers in northeast North Dakota and northwest Minnesota.
1966 - A few people began meeting because of issues with local building codes and from those meetings the Forx Builders Association was formed.
1995 - Tax exempt status obtained under code section 501 (c) (6).
However, we are still responsible for paying taxes on unrelated business income. Examples of this income is interest and marketing fees from Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Dakota,Citizens Security Group, and Cenex.
2011 Members - 312
Annual Dues - $350
Each member is automatically a member of NAHB and NDAB as a portion of their dues are paid
each month to these organizations. NAHB receives $150 (27%) per member and NDAB receives 30% of $70 ($21).
This helps those organizations monitor state and national legislation that could impact the building
industry.
