Scholarship Fund Criteria

The Forx Builders Association is forming an Education Scholarship Fund. This fund
will encourage members to continue learning and upgrading their trades which will
ensure their professional status in their trade. This will also continue to benefit
the Forx Builders Association as a whole as member's professionalism increases.
Participation in Forx Builders, NDAB and NAHB events is encouraged. This Scholarship
Fund will provide monetary incentives for members to do so.

A scholarship for trade related training will be available to those who have been
a Forx Builder member for over 12 months and in good standing with the association.
The scholarship is not to exceed $500 per person per year or $1,000 per company per year. It may be used for training for contractor licensing continuing education, any other training for trade improvement or to attend and Forx Builders, NDAB or NAHB event. The scholarship would also be available for employees.

The actual amount of each scholarship will be determined by the Scholarship Fund's
Governing Committee which will be a sub committee of the Education Committee of
the Forx Builders Association. The chair of the Scholarship Fund Governing Committee
will be a member of the Board of Director's Executive Committee. The funds distributed
each year may vary depending on the availability of funds in the Scholarship Fund.

If applications for scholarships exceed the funds available, priorities will be given
to the following members:

1. Any member who chairs or serves on any of the
Forx Builder's Committees, Board of Directors
on the local, state or national level or on a
state or national committee.
2. Any member who has participated and obtained
a booth or booths in the Forx Builders
Home Design & Garden Show in the past 12 months.

The balance of the scholarship fund shall never exceed $10,000. The funds to attain
the scholarship will come from the Home Design & Garden Show. Net income over
$45,000 will be used to fund the account until the cap has been met. The start up
balance would need to come from the general fund for the first year.
